Parents’ Assocation

Welcome to the Christ Church Cathedral School Parents’ Association (CCCS PA).   Our aims are to raise money for the school, to provide a social forum for pupils’ families and to support the Headmaster.

Essentially, we are there to help facilitate a happy, effective school.

Recent fundraising events have enabled us to buy for the school:

• Laptop/media projector
• Concert Grand piano
• Rugby scrummaging machine
• Walton Hall theatre lighting system with computerised desk
• Lockers for all boys in Years 5-8
• Stock for the Reference Library

It is usual for us to have one event per half-term, some of which have a focus on socialising, some of which a greater focus on fund-raising.

An idea of the PA calendar of events:

• In true Oxford tradition, a May Ball (for the past few years this has been held at Blenheim Palace)
• The Meadow Fair - an idyllic setting down on the spire-surrounded glory of  Merton Field
• The Beetle Drive - a family evening of games
• Peripatetic and Insider(!) Staff Concert  - a fabulous opportunity to enjoy the musical skills of the teachers at this very musical school
• The Punch Party - after the Christmas Carol Concert, a family occasion with lunch, games and a very successful large hamper raffle

PA Meetings

Meetings are held approximately twice a term and are informal (with wine).   If you would like to know more about the PA or would like to help in any way at events or on the committee - please e-mail: office@cccs.org.uk who will pass it on to the Chair.
